This exhibition offers a reflection on emotional states, masks, and (almost pop) aesthetics, using classic comic drawings and vintage advertisements as a foundation. Instead of their original faces, the characters are covered by the artist’s signature smile. This intervention not only alters the identity of the characters but also invites us to question the superficiality of images and the meaning of masks in the visual construction of reality. Through this transformation, we are prompted to reflect on how masks—though seemingly simple—reveal the complexity of our perceptions and the relationship between what we show and what we hide.
